Royal London intermediary chief executive Hugh McKee has left the mutual insurer.
McKee, who was previously managing director of Scottish Provident, has been replaced in the role by Royal London group customer services director Isobel Langton. Former Legal & General general insurance chief operating officer Rob Regan has taken on Langton’s former role.
Royal London has also appointed Tim Harris as finance director. Harris, who replaces Kerr Luscombe, was formerly chief financial officer at Aviva Europe. Luscombe had previously decided to step down due to personal circumstances.
Royal London group chief executive Phil Loney says: “During his tenure as CEO intermediary, Hugh has laid important foundations for the future of our group through his work to bring the intermediary businesses together.
“Hugh has also made an important contribution to the management of our business through his role on the group executive team where his integrity and support of the group strategy are appreciated by all. Isobel will provide strong leadership to our intermediary business at a critical time in its development.”
Langton says: “Having been part of the success of Royal London and, in particular, Scottish Life over recent years, I am delighted by the opportunity to take the helm of Royal London’s intermediary business.”
Evolve Financial Planning director Jason Witcombe says: “It is really important for insurance companies to have someone in charge of the advised part of the business who understands the needs of their adviser customers.”
