Royal London intermediary chief exec Hugh McKee exits

Royal London’s intermediary chief executive Hugh McKee has left the mutual insurer.

McKee, who was previously managing director of Scottish Provident, has been replaced in the role by Royal London group customer services director Isobel Langton.

In addition, Royal London has appointed Tim Harris as finance director. Harris, who replaces Kerr Luscombe, was previously chief financial officer at Aviva Europe.

Royal London group chief executive Phil Loney (pictured) says: “During his tenure as CEO intermediary, Hugh has laid important foundations for the future of our group through his work to bring the intermediary businesses together.

“Hugh has also made an important contribution to the management of our business through his role on the group executive team where his integrity and supportiveness of the group strategy are appreciated by all.”

Langton adds: “Royal London is committed to the intermediary market and will be a powerful force in providing propositions that support advisers in their recommendations and address the challenges of the protection and retirement markets for our mutual customers.”
