Royal London appoints partnerships director for its intermediary division

Royal London has appointed Bright Grey distribution director Andy Peters as its new national partnerships director for its intermediary division.

Peters will now take charge of leading and co-ordinating sales activity with national IFA networks across Scottish Provident, Bright Grey and Scottish Life.

His remit also includes the further development of distribution opportunities for Royal London, beyond the current core areas of IFAs and the existing bancassurance relationship with Abbey.

The news comes after Royal London merged the management teams of its protection businesses Bright Grey and Scottish Provident last month.

Royal London intermediary division chief executive John Deane says: “This is a very exciting time for Royal London as we continue to develop our business, and I’m delighted to appoint someone of Andy’s calibre and experience to this key role.

“By helping focus the experience and talents we already have across our intermediary businesses, Andy will ensure we realise the very real opportunities we have to increase our presence with national IFA networks and through other channels.”
