Affirmative Finance sales and marketing director Roger Morris is to leave the bridging lender to join Precise Mortgages.
Morris (pictured), who joined Affirmative in November 2008, will join Precise on March 28.
Morris says he decided to move to Precise after being approached by managing director Alan Cleary.
He has not been given a job title as yet but says it is likely that he will continue with the sales and marketing responsibilities he carried out at Affirmative.
He says: “I now have a good grounding in packaging, overseas mortgages, bridging, development finance. That is a comprehensive view of the marketplace with which I can go back into the mainstream market.
“Doing volume business and helping brokers really appeals to me.”
Morris says he is grateful for his experience at Affirmative and will maintain a good relationship with Affirmative management.
Affirmative managing director Eugene Esterkin says: “Roger has been great for the company and brought a lot to us in terms of his marketing abilities. But I think his heart is truly in the long-term market and that is where he wants to go.
“We are very happy that he has gone somewhere that suits his skills in the long-term.”
Prior to his role at Affirmative Morris was managing director of packager em-financial, which went into administration as a result of the deteriorating mortgage market.
