Rock squares up to BM in Together price war

Northern Rock has reacted to the price war instigated by BM Solutions by slashing rates on its Together range.

NR has introduced two new fixed rate deals starting at 5.65 per cent, and cut rates on its existing variable rate products to 5.89 per cent. It has also and increased the Help With Costs option to £1,000.

It comes after BM reduced rates on its Mortgage Plus range which, like Together, combines a secured and unsecured loan. NR has also cut rates across its entire flexible range.

Marketing director Anth Mooney said: “These latest improvements to our product range should receive a warm welcome from borrowers, whether they are looking to step onto the housing ladder, move up a rung, or simply remortgage to a great new product.”
