RLAM expands fixed interest and quant teams

Royal London Asset Management has made two new appointments to its fixed interest and quant teams.

Shalin Shah joins as quant and fixed interest specialist. He will provide support to fund managers, assist with client communication and provide quantitative and analytical support to the derivatives and quant team. Prior to joining RLAM, Shalin worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers advising clients on investment solutions and strategic asset allocation.

Terence Nahar joins as interest rate derivatives manager. He will focus on LDI strategies and derivatives usage within the wider fixed interest portfolios. Nahar joins RLAM from Goldman Sachs where he worked on LDI and asset and liability modelling within the pension and insurance team.

RLAM quantitative techniques manager Zilla Ford has qualified as an actuary and will look to build on the Company’s quantitative capability within the derivatives and quant team.

RLAM chief investment officer Robert Talbut comments: “We are delighted that Shalin and Terence have joined us to further strengthen our fixed interest and derivative and quant teams. Their experience will be a great asset as we continue to expand our bond and LDI capabilities in response to strong client demand.”
