Retirement tops IFA searches

More people are looking for an IFA to advise on their retirement planning needs, according to figures from Unbiased.co.uk.

The advice drivers’ report shows the website saw 27,000 enquiries in October and 37 per cent wanted retirement planning advice compared with 29 per cent at the same time last year. The second most popular search was for advice on investments and savings, up from 25 to 27 per cent. Requests for mortgage advice fell from 13 to 10 per cent

Unbiased.co.uk says it has received over 275,000 requests for details of local IFAs so far this year. Chief executive Karen Barrett says: “Consumers are putting their faith in IFAs to help them plan their finances.”
