Retirement Adviser now has five staff from Origen

The Retirement Adviser has recruited its fifth employee from Origen Financial Services – annuity consultant Chris Larby.

Eight Origen employees have joined LEBC Group since it launched subsidiary The Retirement Adviser last November, with five going to TRA.

Larby will take on the role of retirement consultant when he starts on April 1 following gardening leave. He joins The Retirement Adviser head of retirement planning Nick Flynn, who left Origen as head of retirement in July 2008 to set up the firm.

Since Flynn moved, retirement consultants Kirsty Turner and Lucy Bellman have joined the firm and Beckie Walker has followed to run the admin team.

Former Origen national sales director Colin Cameron is LEBC Group financial planning director while former Origen investment manager Kevin O’Brien is a senior adviser in the group’s Manchester branch. Jenny Bennett is a consultant in LEBC’s Leeds branch.

Flynn says: “Larby has a phenomenal client service ability and his sales track record speaks for itself. He has been top for two years running in a tough market. We welcome him to the business with open arms.”

Origen managing director Stephen Greenstreet says: “It is only natural that people move on at certain points in their careers but Origen remains committed to an active recruitment policy of seeking the best advisers for our clients.”
