Rethink of roles at Insight after RAM deal

Insight Investment has finalised its equity team structure and appointed heads of desks following its acquisition of Rothschild Asset Management last year.

John Bearman, currently Insight&#39s director (UK equities) becomes head of UK core funds while Crispin Cripwell, RAM&#39s head of US equities, takes on the same role for the merged business.

Insight head of Euro-pean equities Richard Wiseman and head of global funds David Marchant retain their roles.

RAM head of global equities Chris Jenkins takes over Insight&#39s emerging market & Asian equities desk.

Steven Wheeler, head of Japanese equities at RAM, stays in the role for Insight while Bambos Hambi, RAM head of multi-manager, continues to run the funds of funds operation.

It had already been announced that David Kiddie, retail chief investment officer at RAM, would become retail CIO while Alan Denholm, Insight&#39s institutional CIO, would continue in the role.

Michael Deakin, who retains his position as Insight chief investment officer responsible for fixed-income, cash, equities and property fund management, says: “Our priority has been to design what we believe is the best investment management structure for our businesses and our clients.”
