Restaurant aiming for £4.5m EIS to expand

Restaurant chain the Santa Fe Group is aiming to raise £4.5m through

IFAs and venture capitalists as part of an Enterprise Investment Scheme.

The group wants to fund plans for expansion to other parts of the UK.

It says after the success of its first two restaurants in Islington and

Reading, it wants to open 15 new restaurants over the next two to three

years.

Investors who take a stake will benefit from the tax incentives for EIS.

Once the chain is more established, it intends to float on the London

Stock Exchange.

The restaurants bring South-western US cuisine to the UK, claiming to

reflect the colours, style and architecture of New Mexico.

Managing director Sarah Fox says: “When we raise the £4.5m to embark

on a national rollout of great fresh food at sensible prices, I see our

group becoming an established name in the casual dining marketplace,

offering great fresh food at sensible prices.”
