Resolution ready with Europe duo

Resolution Asset Management is to build on its European equities range with the launch of international pan-European and European smaller companies portfolios.

The pan-European fund will be managed by Jon Fearon and will be a Dublin-based Sicav holding 30 to 70 stocks across the UK and Europe.

European smaller companies will be a high-conviction portfolio of 30 to 50 stocks under the management of Ian Ormiston.

Both Fearon and Ormiston are recent additions to the Resolution team, having joined from Gartmore and Singer & Friedlander respectively during the past 12 months.

The portfolios are to launch in October and will complement the overhaul of the company’s £112m European growth fund in February. Both Ormiston and Fearson work on the European growth fund alongside head of European equities Adrian Darley.

Resolution Asset Management director Jonathan Polin says: “It was always our intention to expand the European products once our existing European assets had been restructured and the team has done a great job in turning round performance.

The new funds are ideally suited to the team’s bottom-up, research-driven investment style and we believe that they will do very well in the coming years.”
