Resolution property manager quits

Resolution Asset Management UK property fund manager Sandy Thompson has resigned from the firm.

Thompson has worked for Resolution since September 2005 having taken over the £660.4m fund from property team head John Wilson back in July 2006.

He will leave the firm on August 1 with Wilson set to revert back to his role as manager of the fund, having previously managed the vehicle from launch back in December 2004.

Resolution head of sales and marketing Jonathan Polin says: ““The launch of UK commercial croperty investment trust in 2006 has enabled the amalgamation of various property portfolios, thereby allowing John to resume stewardship of the property unit trust. John is a very accomplished manager with some 26 years of property management experience. The management of property assets and funds is significantly different to the management of an equity fund and there will be no material change to the strategy or running of the fund.

“Sandy has not advised us of his plans however we would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his service and to wish him well in the future.”
