Resolution appoints chief operating officer

Resolution Asset Management has appointed Ian Paterson Brown to the newly created role of chief operating officer.

Paterson Brown will have responsibility for information systems, finance, corporate development, human resources, investor operations, legal and secretariat and facilities.

Paterson Brown was previously chief financial officer at F&C.

The group says the appointment reflects the rapid expansion of the business which has seen assets under management grow from £15bn to £60bn in the last two years.

Resolution chief executive Gavin Stewart says: “Ian has considerable experience in the asset management industry and his appointment will ensure that we not only maintain our focus on operational excellence but that we also have the appropriate infrastructure to support our future business development.”
