Rensburg Battle Continues

Following Carr Sheppards Crosthwaites reverse takeover offer for Rensburg last week, Rathbones has re-entered the fight by saying its offer for Rensburg remains compelling.

Rathbones says it does not intend to improve its revised offer, announced on February 27th, despite Sheppards interest, and positive reception from Rensburg management.

Rathbones believes its offer provides a full and fair valuation of the Rensburg business, allowing Rensburg shareholders to realise part of their investment in cash and retain an enhanced participation in the prospects of the enlarged group.
