Record high for consumer satisfaction of IFA service

Almost 90 per cent of consumers are satisfied with IFAs’ service after a meeting, says research by Consensus.’s ‘Find an IFA service’ reveals that 86 per cent who used the service were satisfied – the highest level of consumer satisfaction since 2000.

The research reveals how a representative sample of’s 600,000 online and hotline enquirers, who then went onto see an IFA, found the experience.

Of the 779 consumers interviewed, 30 per cent said they were fairly satisfied while 56 per cent said they were very satisfied with the meeting with the IFA.

Of those using the hotline, 21 per cent said they were fairly satisfied and 65 per cent were very satisfied.

Chief executive of David Elms says: “Record levels of consumer satisfaction in the independent financial advice experience reveal that the IFA brand is stronger than ever. These figures clearly highlight that independent financial advice remains a crucial element in consumers’ financial planning and that the search adds real value to our 9,000 member IFAs.”
