Rechabites help abstainers with funeral policy

The Rechabite Friendly Society has launched a specialist funeral planning product offering competitve rates to non-drinkers.

The policy allows the holder to pay up to £25 a month or a single payment of £270 a year tax free. For a 40-year-old insured for a lump sum of £1000, payments can be as low as £1.48.

Rechabite chief executive William Turnbull says: &#34 Non-drinkers are a very good financial risk. There is considerable data proving they live longer and are less likely to default on payments. It is these two factors which enable us to offer competitive products.&#34
