RC Brown poaches Rowan Dartington investment team

Discretionary fund manager RC Brown Investment Management has poached Rowan Dartington co-founders Andrew Morris and Mark Sevier along with four senior Rowan staff.

Morris, senior fund manager Joe Dyer and colleagues Helen Parry and Claire Hudd have joined RCBIM.

Sevier and portfolio manager James Gardner will both move to RCBIM in the coming weeks.

All were part of Rowan Dartington’s Signature investment proposition managed by Guy Stephens.

RCBIM says it has set up a separate division for the new recruits who will be responsible for developing adviser investment solutions.

Chairman Bob Brown says: “We are delighted to have recruited such a high calibre team to join us.

“I have personally known some members of the team for 30 years and I was disappointed that when we approached them three years ago they decided to remain at Rowan Dartington.”

Morris says: “This represents an exciting opportunity not only for us, but our long-term investment partners.”

PMI Independent Financial Advisers director John Stewart says: “When senior staff or co-founders move you tend to see some other staff follow and that seems to be what has happened here.”
