Queen to outline banking reforms

The Queen is set to outline reforms to lending for next year in today’s speech at the opening of Parliament.

Reports suggest the Queen, who today officially opens Parliament, will outline banking reforms that will preventing banks from demanding loan payback or modifications of terms without clear advanced warning to customers.

It is expected that banks could face heavy fines from the FSA if they do not treat customers fairly, instead of just being ‘named and shamed’.
