Punter Southall Group has taken a minority stake in Kent-based financial planning firm Argentis Financial Group and formed a strategic partnership with the business.
The deal between the actuarial and investment firm and Argentis has been agreed for an undisclosed sum. The move sees Punter managing director Kenneth McKelvey join the Argentis board.
The firms say Argentis will continue to be run independently by chief executive David Taplin while the strategic partnership will see Punter assist with financial planning and wealth management services.
McKelvey says: “We look forward to working in partnership with the team at Argentis to help their business expand.
“We have known them for some time and are confident our strong relationship will lead to greater commercial opportunities.”
Taplin says: “Punter Southall Group’s investment and support will enable us to move the business forward while continuing to provide an excellent service to our clients.”
