Punter Southall merges with rival

Consulting actuaries Punter Southall has announced it is merging with rival consultancy BGJ & CO.

Following the merger, BGJ will continue to operate from its Wokingham office under the new name of BGJ Punter Southall.

Its four founding partners will become principals of the firm and will also take up management positions within the group.

Punter Southall chairman Stuart Southall says: “This merger will enable our corporate clients to benefit from even greater diversity of expertise, depth of resource and an ability to identify and share best practice. It consolidates our significant presence in the pensions consulting market at a time when many of the other major firms are re-focusing on human resource consulting.”
