Public awareness of Isas on the increase

Public awareness of Isas is on the increase with over half the population aware of their existence according to research by National Savings.


The survey also revealed cash mini-Isas are the most popular type with 42 per cent of those customers who have invested in an Isa choosing this type.


The most likely age group to buy an Isa is the over 55&#39s with 11 per cent of those aged between 55 and 64 and 10 per cent of those age 60 plus.


National Saving&#39s commercial director Christopher Moxley says: The results of the survey are very encouraging for financial services providers and indicate tax free Isas have arrived as a force to be reckoned with in the UK savings market.&#34
