PruProtect offers extra £10,000 childrens’ serious illness cover for free

PruProtect is offering an extra £10,000 of childrens’ serious illness cover for free to customers who take out one of its protection plans before the end of August.

The extra £10,000 is free for three years. After three years, the customer can give up the free cover or add it to the policy, which they will be charged for.

PruProtect already offers £25,000 free to customers, or 50 per cent of the sum assured if it is less than £50,000, even if the policy holder does not opt for serious illness cover for themselves.

Policy holders can also add an additional £100,000 of paid for SIC cover for children, on top of the £35,000 free on offer from the provider.

PruProtect distribution and marketing director Justin Taurog says: “We have always been advocates of parents taking SIC to protect their children, even if they choose not to take the cover themselves. We want to raise awareness of this vital and incredibly cost effective cover and I am confident this promotion will do just that.”
