Pru targets financial services newbies with adviser training programme

Prudential Financial Planning will launch an adviser training programme aimed at people who have not previously worked in financial services.

Prudential says the programme is “underpinned by a six-figure investment” and will see candidates become fully fledged advisers within 18 months.

Four entrants to the programme will undertake a 12-month intensive training programme in Prudential’s Stirling office before sitting their level four Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Prudential advice arm architect joins annuity provider

Prudential financial planning and strategy director Peter Coleman says: “Trying to break into the advice industry without previous experience has been difficult until now, but this is an ambitious programme that will give talented individuals a great opportunity and a career for life.”

Coleman says offering a recruitment programme is part of the firm’s plans to expand its adviser numbers and service offers.

  1. Funny how they got rid of all their advisers over the years and they are now recruiting again whats goes round comes round.

    The obvious concerns aside, I think it’s great that they’re using their resources to bring in fresh talent. It’s easy to knock these things. But good on Pru.
