Pru launches stakeholder ad campaign

Prudential is launching a multi-million pound nationwide stakeholder advertising campaign urging employers to act now or face hefty fines from the regulator.

The campaign consists of a month long drive in the national and trade press supported by taxi and radio ads, plus a direct mail campaign to companies affected by the October stakeholder compliance deadline.

Spokeswoman Karen Richardson-Fowles says: “The stakeholder arena will be a crowded one and with charges capped at 1 per cent it can be difficult to differentiate from the competition. We have worked hard to ensure every assistance is providers to employers setting up schemes.”

Value remains within European equities

By Rob Burnett, Neptune European Opportunities Fund

In recent months, investors have become more pessimistic about both the European and the US economic outlook and yet stockmarkets have pushed on to new highs. Some would argue that this is a worrying divergence. We would take the opposite view. This appears to be classic bull market behaviour. A wall of worry has been rebuilt, and stockmarket resilience should be taken as a sign of strength.
