Pru chief is appointed to head fundsnetwork

Fidelity has appointed Prudential business development director David Dalton-Brown as head of FundsNetwork.

Dalton-Brown will have responsibility for all aspects of the management and expansion of FundsNetwork, reporting to UK managing director Richard Wastcoat. He joins the firm in March. James de Salis, the existing director, will work on the international development of the platform.

FundsNetwork is seeking to establish itself as the leading supermarket platform in the UK and to develop a full wrap service. It aims to introduce a suite of planning tools and extend its offering beyond mutual funds.

Wastcoat says: “This appointment shows that Fidelity is willing and able to put some of the finest people and best resources behind FundsNetwork’s expansion plans.”
