Private Label buys TMP as it targets North-west

Private Label has taken over The Mortgage Partnership to gain access to


customers in the North-west.


Cheshire-based TMP will become Private Label Northern Operations Centre.


TMP will continue to offer its own products, transferring to Private Label


mortgages by the summer.


All TMP employees are being offered jobs with the new company.


Co-founders John Mawd sley and Ian Ward will join the Private Label


executive board, taking on the roles of regional director and director of


operations (North) respectively.


TMP processed £60m of new mortgage business last year while Private Label


processed £1.4bn.


Executive chairman Stephen Knight says: “Research has shown that customers


would respond positively to product, service and sales delivery which is


targeted more to the needs of the North of England.”
