Premier Connections network offers healthcare panel

Southampton-based non-regulated network Premier Connections is expanding its services to offer its 2,000 members access to a panel of private healthcare providers for the first time.

The network, which already has ties with protection product providers, lenders and general insurers, has put together a panel of PMI providers including Bupa, Norwich Union, PPP Healthcare, WPA and Clinicare.

There will be no additional costs to advisers for using the service as Premier says it will cover any costs which arise.

Premier members which are already active in this market will be able to begin advising from the panel immediately while for those with no experience in this field, free training will be available.

Commission rates vary between providers but Premier says it has negotiated preferential rates with many because of the amount of business it expects to write.

In some cases, commission will be paid up front rather than on a drip basis as is common on PMI.

Director Michael Cooke says: “For the majority of brokers we deal with, this is becoming a more important part of financial planning they offer to clients so we decided to make it available to our brokers.”
