PR is a goody sport

A good hostess will always go beyond the call of duty to please her journalist guests, even if it means getting told off as a result.

Mitchell Moneypenny PR Sarah Wakefield was assisting a rather inebriated financial hack (not from MM, we are hasten to add), as she exited The Exchange press party last week, when said hack requested a goody bag, to which Sarah obliged.

“I asked nicely if we could have one, it’s not like we were going to nick one,” Sarah explains.

“I’m back. I’ve gone to the dark side.”

“The Mothers Index? That’s something you should not look at – not without a large drink in your hand, anyway.”

“Next time someone says they’re a friend of mine, best to check with me first.”

Kim North gives some sound advice.

“I don’t see why I should buy umbrellas when I get so many of them for free.”

Another fine money savings tip from HL’s Ben Yearsley

“Knight Rider was named after Stephen.”

GMAC’s Jeff Knight sees the irony in his boss Stephen Knight’s name, but not in his own, when recalling the classic 1980s David Hasselhoff TV series HBOS intermediaries managing director Nigel Stockton is asking for your help to raise money for charity as he and 10 other figures from the mortgage market run the New York Marathon on November 5. Flexible reversionary trusts and estate planning

The suitability of different estate planning solutions will depend on the individual’s own circumstances, needs and objectives. Overall a flexible reversionary trust provides a greater level of flexibility than a discounted gift trust and can offer individuals a […]
