PPP Healthcare chief exec to resign

PPP Healthcare has announced its chief executive Mark Adams is leaving the company as of the end of November.

Adams, who has been at the helm of PPP for three years and with the provider for seven, is leaving for a job outside the healthcare sector.

Axa UK group chief executive Dennis Holt says: “Mark has done an excellent job in strengthening Axa PPP healthcare&#39s position as a leading player in the medical insurance market. He leaves with our grateful thanks and best wishes in his new role.”

Brown&#39s pre-budget report on November 27

Chancellor Gordon Brown will announce today he will deliver his Pre-Budget report in two weeks time on November 27. It is expected Brown will provide more details about the savings gateway and the child trust fund on the day.

Pensioners rally for free personal care

Thousands of pensioners attended a National Pensioners Convention rally in Westminster to lobby MPs to implement free personal care as recommended by the Royal Commission. NPC president Rodney Bickerstaffe was joined by other speakers including Barbara Castle, Dr Richard Taylor MP and Claire Rayner in attacking the differences in LTC between England and Scotland.
