PosSol Forum: New Mortgage Club launched

Positive Solutions is launching a new in-house mortgage advice and sales service intended to offer its advisers exclusive deals from mortgage providers.

The Mortgage Club will allow its partners access improved fees and higher service standards from 25 different lenders, including Abbey for Intermediaries, RBS and Bristol & West.

Positive Solutions mortgage manager Paul Rignall says the Mortgage Club will be supported by a set of 16 regional mortgage conferences run by the IFA company. He says: “The Mortgage Club aims to build on that success and to allow our partners to continue thriving in more demanding market conditions.”

Positive Solutions says approximately one-third of its 1,700 advisers focus primarily on the mortgage market. It says overall value of introductions were in excess of £7bn last year. Rignall believes this level of business put the IFA company in the top 10 of UK mortgage advisers.

Rignall says lenders are keen to be associated with the Mortgage Club partly because of the cost-effectiveness of its electronic submission of business and renewals.

He says: “They are keen to access our advisers and clients, giving us greater leverage to negotiate terms. The benefits will be seen directly in areas such as fees but also in joint initiatives between lenders and Positive Solutions to promote products and services to generate better opportunities in the mortgage related sales.”
