PosSol appoints compliance and finance directors

Positive Solutions has promoted head of finance Lisa Lockey to finance director and head of operational risk Ricky McKinney to risk and compliance director.

Lockey joined PosSol as head of finance in November 2011 after previous finance director Chris Binks left the firm. Binks joined True Potential as head of auditing and processes in August.

McKinney joined PosSol in 2003 and has held a number of compliance positions at the firm. He replaces previous risk and compliance director James McCourt who left in April to join Royal London.

Both Lockey and McKinney take seats on the PosSol board.

PosSol chief executive Peter Coleman (pictured) says: “Lisa and Ricky are important appointments for Positive Solutions as together they provide us with the resource and expertise we need to deliver first class customer service to our partners.”

PosSol has been hit by a number of senior departures this year including chief executive Jim Reeve in February.

  1. Excellent News re Ricky, I worked with this guy last year and he really knows his stuff.
Hopefully this will be seen as a real positive move.

  2. Compliance & Finance & on the board. Is this wise ?

  3. To anonymous 6.40.

Compliance & finance usually sit on every board, so not sure why you question it?

    A complete and utter shambles.

My regulators are being kept busy.

  5. Not sure the statment from Coleman to PS Partners really suggested Ricky McKinney was first choice, nor does the 6 month delay in appointing a CF10 despite exhaustive searches for external candidates. Maybe the lack of RDR readiness at PS forced their hand slightly ?

I know Ricky and he is a good guy but no experience at this level and most exposure to PS Partners has been as T&C supervisor and doing induction courses. Big step up for him at a business with significant problems
