Positive Solutions confirms Reeve as chief executive

Positive Solutions has appointed former Barclays Financial Planning managing director Jim Reeve as its new chief executive.

As predicted by Money Marketing early last month, Reeve will take over from Neil Johnson, who is leaving at the end of the month to join David Harrison at True Potential.

Reeve will join Positive Solutions on September 10 and will take up the chief executive role at the end of the month.

He worked for Zurich group for 25 years, rising to managing director of Zurich’s IFA marketing arm Zifa in July 2001 before moving to Barclays in April 2004.

He will be formally introduced at Positive Solutions’ national forum in Birmingham on September 13.

Positive Solutions member John Donaldson says: “From a personal point of view, I will miss Neil Johnson. He has put a lot into the firm and I will be very sad to see him go. I do not know Jim Reeve at all but I understand that he has got a good pedigree behind him so I am sure he will do well. He has got big shoes to fill as Neil has done a fantastic job.”

Positive Solutions has a total of 1,700 partners and is projecting turnover this year of £125m.
