I was infuriated by Nic Cicutti claiming in Money Marketing that IFA clients are not happy with the services provided. He asks how on earth would we know?
Well, we know because we get frequent letters and phone calls from clients saying how delighted they are with the service we have provided.
For example, we recently did a mailshot to all our clients aged between 50 and 55 explaining that if they wanted to take advantage of new pension arrangements before the April 5 deadline, they needed to contact us straight away. Within two days, we had picked up business and people particularly said how pleased they were that we had bothered.
If a fund goes off the boil, we obviously write to people suggesting a change and the last time we did this, we got a 90 per cent response.
If Mr Cicutti would like to spend a day at our office, he would be very welcome to do to see how a good IFA operates.
