Portman takeover means £65m payout

Staffordshire Building Society&#39s takeover by Portman will result in payouts of £65m to its members. Borrowers will get bonuses of £200 while savers will get a minimum of £100 and a maximum of £2,500 depending on their account balances. The Staffordshire has around 287,000 members but only 187,000 will qualify for the payout.
