Portman Building Society…

Portman Building Society has raised £13,500 for Macmillan Cancer Relief

with its 2000 Calendar Charity Appeal.

A total of £27,000 was raised through donations from Portman members. The

other £13,500 has been split between 14 charities in the society&#39s main

operating area.

Portman chief executive Robert Sharpe says: “I hope that this will help

Macmillan Cancer Relief meet the obj-ectives of its &#39a voice for life&#39


Macmillan corporate development manager Ian Catley says: “We are immensely

grateful to Portman&#39s customers. Cancer touches every family somehow, some

time and the amazing figure of £13,500 will go directly to greater cancer
