Portman appoints new communications head

Portman Building Society is appointing Helen Shaw as group communications manager, based at its Bournemouth head office. Shaw joins Portman from associate director at Savills Private Finance, and was formerly with Hill Samuel Asset Management and Bank of Ireland Mortgages.

Portman chief executive Robert Sharpe says: “The Society has been without a dedicated group communications manager for almost 12 months. I am delighted we have attracted someone with such proven ability.”
