Polar Capital announces Evans appointment

Polar Capital Holdings has announced the appointment of Nick Evans as senior fund manager on the group’s technology fund.

Evans had worked for Axa Framlington, where he was lead manager of both the Axa Framlington global tech fund and AWF Framlington global tech fund.

Prior to joining Axa Framlington in 2000, he spent just under 3 years at Hill Samuel Asset Management most recently as an investment manager of Pan- European equities and formerly as an assistant investment manager of UK pension funds.

Polar Capital chief executive officer Mark Kary says: “We are delighted that Nick has decided to join us. The decision to recruit him is part of our strategy to invest further in our technology unit, ahead of what we believe will be a very compelling multi year period of outperformance in the asset class.”
