Pointon York picks Hutchinson to lead corporate Sipp drive

Pointon York Sipp Solutions has appointed Philip Hutchinson as head of corporate Sipp sales, which it says will be a key area of focus this year.

Hutchinson has over 20 years experience in a variety of general management roles and over the past nine years has specialised in implementing and developing a flexible benefits strategy at Pointon York.

He will lead the company’s growth plans for corporate Sipps and be responsible for developing and marketing the product.

He previously worked at benefit consultants Mercer, AWD and Jardine Lloyd Thompson, which is a provider of employee benefit services.

Chief executive Christine Hallett says: “When we launched the corporate Sipp, we invented the group Sipp which is now being widely copied by many in the industry.

“We have implemented corporate Sipps for a range of businesses which want to provide an improved, flexible and independent pension benefit for their employees and enquiries from companies looking for alternative pension plans for their employees are increasing. We believe the corporate Sipp is the best solution for ensuring large numbers of employees have a decent pension as part of their wealth creation strategy.”
