PMPA appoints rival packager director as managing director

The Professional Mortgage Packagers Alliance has announced the appointment of Eddie Smith as its new managing director.

Smith will start at PMPA at the beginning of September moving from his current position as director of operations at another packager association, AMPD.

Eddie will report to the PMPA Board and its membership.

PMPA chairman Vic Jannels says: “We are delighted that Eddie is to join PMPA at the start of what we see as a new phase in our growth, development and success. His wealth of director-level experience within the intermediary mortgage industry, in lending, broking and packager sectors, should prove to be an invaluable asset to PMPA. We are confident that PMPA member firms, their broker introducers, and our panels lenders will all benefit from Eddies skills, enthusiasm and proven abilities for a long time to come, and we extend the warmest of welcomes to him.
