Platforum managing director Holly Mackay says the link-up is designed to help navigate IFAs thought the platform maze.
She says: ”We receive a lot of feedback which suggests that IFAs are really confused about this question. It’s a very competitive market and the platforms are busy marketing to new prospective clients , but not all IFA business will suit all platforms and vice versa.
“We can help IFAs to segment the market and start to understand how to think about which type of platform will suit them – before hitting the pavements and seeing the whole lot.”
Perception Support chief executive officer Phil Billingham says recent research shows that fear of making the wrong choice is one of the main reasons advisers a shy away from using technology.
He says: “Experience tells us that a proper use of Wraps not only helps cut costs, but adds to the client offering and is a massive help when moving to a fee basis. The key question is not ‘’what is the best wrap’, but what is the best wrap for my business’.”
The one-day workshops will be run in London, Bristol and Birmingham in June.
