Pioneer removes final exclusions from its Pure Protection product

Pioneer Friendly Society has announced it will remove the final two exclusions, war and HIV, from its Pure Protection contract.

The move, which follows a range of policy enhancements introduced in January, makes Pure Protection one of the few income protection policies in the market with no standard policy exclusions.

Chief executive Andy Chapman says: “These latest policy enhancements elevate Pure Protection to the level of one of the very few that offer no standard policy exclusions.

“The ‘one rate for all’ structure offers intermediaries further simplification and an opportunity to sell a first rate income protection plan to all sectors of the market, regardless of occupation, gender or smoker status.

“We have stated our commitment to innovative product development and, as a specialist provider, we’re able to focus solely on income protection moving both our proposition and the industry as a whole forward.”

These operators may see market value that the more nervous among us believe is no longer present.
