Investment specialists Pinder Fry & Benjamin has raised £44m for the British film industry through a tax privileged investment partnership.
The Voyager Film Partnership specialises in purchasing British films. By doing so investors qualify for tax reliefs granted to investors in the film industry by the Government.
The partnership has proved very popular, investing in films such as 'Swing' starring Lisa Stansfield, which went on general release last week.
But because of the partnership's popularity over £10m had to be returned to investors as it was unable to buy enough films of decent quality.
Pinder Fry & Benjamin has also assisted with the issue of the BWD Aim Venture Capital Trust, which raised £9m and various repackaging of investments for banks and building society's.
Pinder Fry & Benjamin specialises in financial product development and marketing. It was formed just over a year ago.
