PIMS pair quit to set up a new firm

PIMS linchpins Evie Owen and James Goad have left Richmond Events to set up their own business specialising in smaller financial events.

OwenJames Events, will concentrate on functions such as adviser roadshows and bespoke work for IFA firms. The duo also hope to work with research partners as knowledge brokers for the industry.

They have been working at PIMS for the last six years but decided that the time was right to set up on their own, with the new business launching at the beginning of September.

PIMS sales manager Hugo Terry will take over the UK event and Daniel Gilmore, also a sales manager, will take over the European event, both run by Richmond Events. PIMS UK and PIMS International are both four-day events held each year aboard an ocean liner .

Goad says: “We have dec- ided to leave Richmond Events to launch a bespoke events company focusing on the financial services market.”
