PIA kicks out three companies

The PIA has announced a new round of expulsions, fines and reprimands.

The regulator has terminated the membership of Jeffries & Co of 42

Barrhill Road, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow, on the grounds that its sole

principal is bankrupt.

It has expelled The Independent Consultancy Group of Brue Business Park,

Church Road, Bason Bridge, Highbridge, Somerset, for failing to comply with

training and competence requirements and for failing to effect and maintain

professional indemnity insurance.

It has also expelled Notecall Limited, which trades as K&R Financial

Services, of 78 Castle Lane West, Bournemouth, Dorset, for failing to

provide suitable advice and other compliance failings.

The PIA has slapped a £20,000 fine on Town and City Financial Services of

25 The Calls, Lees, West Yorkshire, for its conduct in the pension review.

It also reprimanded the company.
