pi Financial grows Scottish arm

pi Financial has picked up three more financial advisers from Scottish firm Your Financial Matters.

Gordon Inglis, John Windram and Brian Bisset, all previously area managers with Pearl Assurance before launching YFM four years ago, bring the total Scottish contingency at the Shrewsbury-based firm to 17.

Inglis says: “We joined pi because we liked their open approach, you can talk to the people who are doing the job and they take ownership of the problems. We now have the confidence to focus on developing our business and supporting our clients knowing we have the back-up pi provides.

“However, the most important factor in the decision was the fact that pi financial is run by IFAs for IFAs. This played a major part in our decision to join the company. Everyone at the company is ‘hands on’ they are not simply checking procedures and files from a book and so far, the service has been fantastic.”

pi Financial chief executive Tim Sutcliffe says: “We are delighted to increase our adviser base in Scotland. All the advisers who have joined us have been referred by our existing team and hopefully we will shortly hit our target of 30 advisers in Scotland.”
