Yates will leave the group on February 29, 2012, with deputy group finance director Peter Miles becoming acting group finance director with immediate effect. The board is currently searching for a full-time replacement.

Phoenix Group chief executive Clive Bannister says: “We thank Jonathan for all his efforts on our behalf over the last 18 months. I would like to congratulate him on his new role and wish him every success in the future.

“I have great confidence that Paul and the rest of our finance team will continue to drive Phoenix towards success in meeting its objectives, whilst the Board considers a permanent appointment.”

    Promotion is in the air!

  2. Mr Yates was hired as Group Finance Director who many in the company believe on the promise of a promotion within Phoenix. Like so many other promises that the Group have made to Snr. Managers like myself, Mr Yates was badly let down. This is a huge loss to the firm.

The Groups new CEO seems to have little knowledge of how the company works…. as the saying goes “from the frying pan to the fire”.

My advice to any one thinking of joining Phoenix think twice in my opinion Phoenix is not rising!
