PFS to host RDR action week

The Personal Finance Society is to host an RDR action week to help advisers transition to the new RDR requirements.

The week, which has been created in association with Friends Provident and will run from October 26, will feature daily webcasts.

Discussions will focus on achieving higher qualifications and CPD requirements, adviser charging and labelling and disclosure.

PFS chief executive Fay Goddard says: “We know that many advisers still have questions that remain unanswered about the best way to achieve the requirements of the RDR. Time is running out and it is becoming ever more important that advisers start making concrete plans to ensure survival post 2012.

“As much as the implementation of the RDR is causing many of those in the market extra effort it is important to focus on how the outcome will enhance the reputation of our profession.”

  1. We have enough on our plate with rude and arrogant politicians, we refuse to be led by the purveyors of qualifications.
