NFU Mutual sales and agency director Nick Turner has been named president of the Personal Finance Society for 2016/17.
Turner takes over from Phoenix Wealth Management managing director Brendan O’Ciobhain who has now stepped down from the board.
Turner’s appointment was announced at the PFS annual general meeting yesterday. He joined the PFS board in 2011 and was made vice president last year.
As well as O’Ciobhain, board member and Sifa managing director David Ingram has left his post.
The PFS has two new board members: Killik & Co partner Sarah Lord and Sense Network head of learning and development Adam Owen.
PFS chief executive Keith Richards says: “Nick brings tremendous experience and enthusiasm to the role, and I’m looking forward to working closely with him over the next 12 months, during a time of significant and exciting change for both the advice profession and the society.”
