The Personal Finance Society has named its chartered award winners for 2012 with Almary Green Investments consultant Hayley Tink winning the individual chartered financial planner of the year award.

Lift-Financial won the title of corporate chartered financial planners of the year.

At the PFS chartered awards dinner in Birmingham last night, the highest achiever in the diploma in financial planning award went to Myles Harrison, while the highest achiever in the advanced diploma in financial planning was awarded to Svenja Keller.

The PFS volunteer of the year was awarded to Cascade Wealth Management managing director Simon Haydock, and was also won by Winterthur Life business development director Russell Anderson.

The paraplanner of the year was named as Eldon Financial Planning financial planner Gemma Langlands.

The John Ellis award, which recognises significant contribution to the development of professionalism in financial services, was awarded to the right honourable Lord Hunt of Wirral.

PFS chief executive Fay Goddard says:”This year’s winners saw stiff competition with the PFS chartered awards attracting a record number of entries and this is testament to the increasing focus on professionalism and raising standards within the financial planning sector.”
