Positive Solutions has appointed former Burns-Anderson director Peter Coleman to the newly created position of commercial director as the firm completes its management restructure.
In his new role, Coleman will take responsibility for PosSol’s finance and marketing functions. He will also work with the existing leadership team in the development of introducer business Positive Partnerships and the Learning Academy. He previously worked at Burns-Anderson, now a subsidiary of Honister Capital, from 2004 to 2007. During this period, he established the firm’s IFA arm, Burns-Anderson IFA.
The decision to recruit Coleman follows the internal appointments of Martin Brown as recruitment director, Billy Jack as business transformation and operations director and Fran Dunne as Positive Partnerships operations director.
Risk and compliance director James McCourt, business development director Jon Morley and finance director Chris Binks complete the company’s management line-up.
Positive Solutions chief executive Jim Reeve says: “I am confident that Peter’s appointment to this new role, together with the other changes I have made to the senior management structure, will help drive success after the retail distribution review.”
In January, PosSol revealed details of a structural overhaul that includes the rollout of adviser e-toolkit Evolution, a new network charging model and plans to introduce a paraplanning service.
